The Lock Shark is designed to slip in between the tightest of twin cam sprockets and latch onto the toothed wheels, ensuring the camshafts cannot rotate. Once the unit is properly secured, the timing belt can then be removed without losing correct timing. Two needed for V6 and V8 engines.
