COP/FI Adapter Ferret 963

The Ferret 963 will adapt most automotive labscopes to read ignition and fuel injector patterns. Designed for use on coil on plug ignitions, the 963 can be used on distrbutor ignitions systems as well.

Works best with 2-Channel labscopes with a minimum of 120K samples per second. The scope must be able to trigger on one channel while displaying a second channel on screen. The higher the resolution and sampling rate of your scope, the more detailed your pattern will be.

Three banana jack outputs, Sync, Ground, and Signal, connect to most lapscopes. Ten banana jack inputs support testing up to 10 cylinders or fuel injectors at one time.

Connect a voltage test lead to every coil drive wire that carries the ignition primary signal or fuel injector trigger wire. Connect the test lead going to #1 cylinder to the banana jack marked Sync. Connect all other leads to any banana jack input. Both a sync pulse and the waveform signal will be sent to the scope.
