Exhaust Gas Analyzer Gunson Portable 12V powered Gastester
Accurate and reliable "CO" readings are displayed on a large digital display, making Gastester ideal for checking emissions before inspection. Additionally Gastester allows you to set the air/fuel mixture for both performance and economy.

A metal pipe is inserted into the exhaust pipe and is retained in position by metal springs which press against the inside of the exhaust pipe. This exhaust probe is connected to the Gastester unit by a plastic pipe to directly sample the exhaust gases.

Though primarily intended for multi-cylinder car engines the Gastester may be used on motorcycles and other engines including single cylinder engines. Some adaptation may be required to fit the exhaust probe into the exhaust pipe of some motorcycles.
The Gastester is not suitable for use on two-stroke engines.

The Gastester has an accuracy of +/- 0.5% CO typical throughout the indicated range 0.5% CO to 6.5% CO.

CO tester works well
christopher frost (phx , az) 9/25/2010 12:20 AM
Hello , my name is chris and I've been a mechanic for 25 or 26 years and I used to own 1 of these until it was stolen . This tool worked great as long as You clean it according to the directions . It is pretty darn accurate and once it is warmed up it is very quick to sense changes in the CO in the exhaust stream . In my opinion if You have a need to test carbon monoxide emissions at the back yard to the semi-professional mechanic level , then this tool is excellent for such especially at the price which is very inexpensive considering .
